To the rational, it's irrational. To the practical, it's impractical.

Could you ever close your eyes and jump off a cliff, being 100% confident that you won’t be harmed in any way no matter what? That’s faith. Letting go of all control, trusting everything will work out the way it’s meant to.

We exercise faith everyday, in how we go to sleep planning to wake up the next day or how we drive around planning to get to our destination safely. These are examples of subconscious faith. So we are all familiar with the concept, meaning we are all capable of actively exercising it.

If you knew everything that would happen in your life, then what would be the use of faith? Besides, it would be awfully boring constantly being aware of what’s to come, don't you think? A little mystery goes a long way and I'm currently learning that although knowledge is power, too much unnecessary knowledge can be overwhelming. Leading to stress, anxiety, etc. So it's okay to not know for now. When the time is right, things will be revealed to you in a way that you can handle. So don't try to push to know something before you're able to handle that information because intellectual enrichment comes with responsibility.

Faith isn't just about religion. It's about allowing you to live liberally and allowing God to be God in your life. Let Him take care of everything whilst you live life to the fullest. Trying to control everything won't make it easier, in fact, it increases the level of difficulty because you're now trying to do God's job and God will just back away so you can botch up your life until you realise that you can't do it without Him.

I know it's not easy, especially when it comes to those things that we like to have firm control over to make sure they happen just the way we’ve planned. But have you ever considered that your constant desire to control everything in your life has taken away your sense of wonder and ultimately makes you miserable in a way?

Faith allows us to not worry about what is to come. It allows us to be bold in life. It allows us to be fearless. All because of the sure certainty that no matter what, everything will work out in the end.
